Booster Club

The objective of the Booster Club, organized in 1988, is to support Lexington School athletics and other extra-curricular groups and activities through financial assistance made possible by donations from the Lexington community and businesses, and other money-making activities.
The Booster Club awards a scholarship to a male and female senior athlete selected by ballot from the Lexington community. Meetings are held during the school year every other month, beginning in September on the 3rd Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the Grade School Computer Lab.

Age Requirements: 10 - 18 year old
The purpose of boy scouting is to train tomorrows leaders using outdoor activities, camping settings and promoting physical fitness (sports teams) and citizenship in today’s young men. Troop 51 camps once a month in addition to our weekly meetings. We are also active in the community by placing American Flags on veterans’ graves on Memorial Day weekend, supporting the Lexington Food Pantry, aluminum can drives, service at Red Carpet Corridor, and assisting the American Legion with their annual pancake and sausage breakfast.

Age Requirements: Children in 1st - 5th grade
Cub Scouts learn by doing. All activities are hands-on experiences where the children will learn citizenship training, personal fitness, and character development. The children will be divided into dens based on their grade in school and have bi-monthly den meetings. The meetings will teach the children good citizenship and build a positive relationship with their peers and leaders. The Cub Scout motto is Do Your Best! Some of the annual fun activities are the Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, Raingutter Regatta, and Cake Bake.

The Fine Arts Program in Lexington Schools impacts every student enrolled from PreK and Kindergarten through High School with a variety of opportunities in classrooms, as well as extracurricular experiences! The goal of the Fine Arts Booster Club is to support the school administration and faculty in offering diverse Fine Arts related activities for Lexington students.
In addition to helping organize fundraisers throughout the school year, the Fine Arts Boosters Club helps in the planning and volunteer stages of the annual Lexington Schools Fine Arts Festival. At this event (typically held in March) patrons can experience the many ways our students excel in the Fine Arts at Lexington Schools. Included in the event are musical performances from 1st through 12th grade students, artwork created by various age levels,
Literacy Club (Speech) performances, Young Author Books (Elementary) and many other attractions.
The Fine Arts Club welcomes your participation either as a member or as a volunteer assisting our faculty in offering the wide variety of Fine Arts activities. The Lexington Garden Club was formed to bring garden enthusiasts together for the sharing and exchange of ideas and information. From the small container gardener to the grand landscaper, and from the vegetable gardener to the perennial fanatics. Beginners to Master Gardeners. Garden enthusiasts of all sorts are welcome and encouraged to join and participate. The group meets monthly in Lexington, Illinois. HCE is an organization that meets in a social setting to learn about family relationships, food and nutrition, public policy, consumer issues and more. Programs are provided by local members and the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service, The US Department of Agricultural and other land grant institutions.
Meetings are held at the Church of Christ Uniting the 3rd Monday of each month at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome.

4-H is the world’s largest youth serving organization, now providing opportunities to young people in all 50 states and more than 80 countries. By participating, young people gain life skills such as: accountability, responsibility, and leadership development.

Lexington Sew & Tell Quilt Guild

If you enjoy quilts, please join us on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Lexington Community Center, start time is at 1 pm. We share ideas, sew service projects and just have fun. We are involved in the Quilts of Valor project, sewing quilts for wounded soldiers overseas.
Lexington Sportsmen’s Club

Meetings are held at the club on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Annual membership fee is $30 per family. Youth 16 and under are free. The clubhouse is 2.5 miles south on County Highway 21.
Shoots are held at the club on the 3rd Saturday of March through September. Other activities include archery, youth archery classes, and 3D shoots.
The Sportsmen of Lexington have faithfully supported and promoted the Boy Scouts, Hunters Safety Training; provide a scholarship for a graduating senior and many other community services. We enjoy a family atmosphere while mentoring young people to be sportsmen of integrity.
